UX Inventions and Patents - Panel Discussion

As a UX professional, have you ever thought of a really cool and creative design solution, but it never went anywhere?  Or, maybe you observed a usability problem when you had an "ah-ha" idea for a paradigm-shifting and novel fix, but you didn't see it through?  Or, perhaps you’re a creative type looking for more out of your UX job than the daily agile grind?

If so, you need to come join the 5 local UXers who are very experienced with UX-related inventions and patents.  They have all been honored as Master Inventors, and currently work at various local companies.  These experts will share a broad and well-rounded perspective on UX inventions and patents.

Panelists

Vince Conzola - Red Hat

Todd Eischeid - Allscripts

Mark Molander - Lenovo

Kevin Schultz - IBM

Jeff Calcaterra - IBM

  • Process and Tips – Advice on how to get started, and do some inventions

Directions

First, please note that this meeting will be at Lenovo's Data Center site, which is off of Davis Drive (not Lenovo's PC Group's site near NC 54).

From Davis, go west on Development Drive, driving a short way until you see the sign for Buildings 6 and 7.  Turn left and park in front of the taller of the two buildings, which is Building 7, and proceed to the front lobby, where you will be greeted.

Note: Please register in advance, so that badges will be immediately available at the lobby - thank you.
