[UX Book Club] Durham Book Discussion of "Understanding Comics"

  • 20 Mar 2013
  • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Fuqua School of Business, 100 Fuqua Drive, Durham, NC

This will be the Durham session on Wednesday, March 20th hosted at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.

We will be gathering to discuss "Understanding Comics" by Scott McCloud. The book club was inspired to read this by our very own Rachel Nabors, who wrote a great post for UX Booth that you should also check out: http://www.uxbooth.co....

You can find the book at Amazon for a reasonable price: http://ow.ly/1QUkiw...

From Amazon: "A comic book about comic books. McCloud, in an incredibly accessible style, explains the details of how comics work: how they're composed, read and understood. More than just a book about comics, this gets to the heart of how we deal with visual languages in general. 'The potential of comics is limitless and exciting!' writes McCloud. This should be required reading for every school teacher. Pulitzer Prize-winner Art Spiegelman says, 'The most intelligent comics I've seen in a long time.'"
